Marcelo Ventrice
Founder & Director of Learning
Marcelo Ventrice is originally from Buenos Aires, where he graduated with a Master's in Modern Languages and Literature and began his journey as an International Baccalaureate teacher. He later moved to Paris, continuing his work in education before ultimately settling in Barcelona. Currently, he serves as the Director of Educator of Learning at Spanish IB LAB and he leads the Spanish Department at the American School of Barcelona.
With over 15 years dedicated to the IB, Marcelo has taught Spanish A in various locations—from Buenos Aires to Barcelona, and even remotely in Viña del Mar, Chile, during challenging times. As an official IB Examiner for over a decade, he has honed his expertise in Spanish A, helping his students consistently excel through tailored teaching approaches and innovative strategies. Marcelo is deeply passionate about empowering young minds to unlock their full potential, believing that guiding students on their educational journey is not just a profession but a privilege. He nurtures growth and success every step of the way, contributing to a brighter future and a better world.

Ángel del Río
Tutoring & Coaching Collaborator
Ángel del Río is originally from Badalona, where he graduated in Hispanic Philology and later earned his PhD in Literary Theory and Comparative Literature. His professional career has been deeply connected to the study and teaching of literature, both at the university level and within international education. With extensive experience as an International Baccalaureate (IB) teacher, Ángel has spent years teaching Spanish A: Language and Literature, guiding students through their academic and personal growth. As both a researcher and an educator, he focuses on fostering critical thinking, literary appreciation, and a commitment to learning—always believing that teaching literature is not only an intellectual challenge but also an opportunity for transformation.
